Yokogawa leads ANZ DCS

Yokogawa Australia is the winner of the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Award for leadership in the Australian and New Zealand distributed control systems (DCS) market.

Frost & Sullivan recognised Yokogawa Australia as the market leader because of the market share, extensive market adoption, growth trends and excellence in technology innovation of its flagship CENTUM distributed control system.

CENTUM has achieved a significantly higher share of the Australian and New Zealand markets than any competitor system. Frost and Sullivan believe that this is due to CENTUM’s high quality, robustness and low total cost of ownership.

“Yokogawa invests more in research and development than any other DCS supplier,” said Yokogawa Australia’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Russell Palmer. “We are committed to continual improvement of our products and staying abreast of the latest technologies. CENTUM, for example, was the first major DCS to embrace Windows Vista technology. We also offer our customers lower migration costs due to our continual product evolution, backwards compatibility and assured continued compatibility into the future.”

Frost & Sullivan’s research showed that Yokogawa Australia enjoys an outstanding reputation with customers.

“The Market Leadership Award firmly endorses our commitment to technology innovation and our unparalleled customer care,” Mr Palmer said. “Yokogawa’s leadership position is the result of our commitment to customers through reliable products, committed and experienced people, and life cycle support services.”
