Worldwide operation expos heading your way

Wonderware Australia’s parent-company will hold a series of worldwide manufacturing and infrastructure operations conferences, kicking off in North America in October.

Running from the 6th to the 10th October 2008, the 2008 North American leg of the WonderWorld conference is inviting Wonderware customers to attend and learn about the latest Wonderware products and solutions, which include manufacturing execution systems (MES) and process optimisation software.

The event will be held in Las Vegas at The Venetian hotel. A team of industry experts will be speaking at the event including Tesla Motors co-founder, Martin Eberhand. The exhibition will focus on operations management and will also host speakers from Invensys (Wonderware’s parent-company) and Microsoft.

The other Wonderworld industry events will be held in seven locations throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. This year’s conference series theme is ‘Enabling Innovation for Real-Time Operational Excellence’.

The conference focus will target a variety of industry topics such as innovative production and software strategies; tactics for manufacturers and infrastructure operations to achieve real-time operational excellence; and effective collaboration strategies involving executives, operations, IT and engineering personnel.

Wonderware also will highlight new innovative technologies that can be delivered through the use of Wonderware software solutions for manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise manufacturing intelligence (EMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and human-machine interface (HMI).

The events will cover content for the discrete manufacturing, food and beverage, general process manufacturing, mining and metals and specialty chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Attendees will learn insight, best practices, specific solution examples, and “how-to” knowledge of the latest Wonderware products and solutions.

Attendees will include executive management and operations management personnel, engineering professionals, information technology professionals and Wonderware solutions providers.

“Wonderware is again offering a popular forum for customers, key partners and other industry leaders to share important innovations on how to best approach the continuous drive towards operational excellence,” said Wonderware vice president of global marketing, Mark Davidson, in a statement to the press.

“Wonderware recognises that operational excellence is not achieved through a single project or initiative, nor is it made possible by one portion of a customer’s or partner’s organization. The 2008 WonderWorld global conference series is designed to provide important, relevant content for each team member with information that is specific to their role in achieving realtime operational excellence — from industrial and manufacturing executives, to operations managers, IT professionals and plant automation and maintenance engineers.”
