What’s coming up in PACE May

May is a very special month for the PACE calendar, with two of the year’s most important sections — the 7th Annual PACE Zenith Awards Finalists, and the National Manufacturing Week 2010 conference overview — packed in to the fattest issue of 2010 so far.

An impressive 19 pages have been dedicated to celebrating the finalist projects in the 7th Annual PACE Zenith Awards. Turn to page 19 to get a snapshot of the best process control, automation and instrumentation engineering projects that have come out of Australia and New Zealand over the last 24 months.

A big thankyou also to our seven sponsor companies that helped make this year’s awards a reality. These companies consistently lend their pockets to the cause in confidence that the PACE magazine and the PACE Zenith Awards are doing their bit to help keep the local process and control engineering industry buoyant.

National Manufacturing Week (NMW) 2010 also gets some special editorial space this issue, with 2010 representing the first time that the PACE industry has been specifically represented at the trade conference.

This year, NMW will be broken-up in to 10 dedicated Product Zones, with the most important for our industry — Process Control & Instrumentation — being represented by PACE magazine as the official media partner.

On another note, this issue also represents my final month as editor of PACE. Thank you to everything who told me their stories and extended their warmth.

Please join me in welcoming the new PACE editor, Kevin Gomez — an esteemed technical editor who is dedicated to providing you with the most up-to-date technical articles, ground-breaking behind the scenes features, the newest products and all the industry news — including training and seminar schedules — that help make your working life that little bit easier.

I hope the local process control, automation and instrumentation industry goes from strength to strength in 2010!
