ROCLA Pipeline, which provides engineered solutions for the building and construction industry, has engaged Applaud to provide managed services for its Wide Area Network.
Rocla Pipeline provides engineered solutions for storm water piping, pits, headwalls and Box Culverts, sewerage piping, storm water detention and treatment and rain water harvesting, as well as concrete poles, building columns, boardwalks and railway sleepers.
It operates 46 manufacturing and sales facilities across Australia. To ensure exceptional customer service, the highest quality manufactured products, and reliable and timely delivery, it operates a Wide Area Network (WAN) across approximately 40 sites in five mainland states and territories.
The WAN provides more than 350 users access to critical applications including Rocla’s enterprise resource planning system. The network is the backbone for sales and customer service staff, accountants, factory managers, human resources, marketing and administration personnel.
Rocla outsources the managed services for its WAN to Applaud, which provides remote network monitoring, hardware installation and support services. Applaud also offers a range of support services, including tools, network operations centre and a service desk.
The network monitoring system integrates automatic alerts so Applaud keeps up-to-date with network performance. This allows Applaud to quickly organise the appropriate response, escalating issues with telecommunications suppliers and hardware suppliers where necessary.
