Use training to keep up with technology

An Event Booking Form for 2011 will be released early October for next year’s events. Each year, a number of events are available including Table Top Exhibitions, Symposia, ISA Training Courses and a Promotion Booth at National Manufacturing Week.

IICA Table Top Exhibitions are a cost effective way for companies involved in the instrumentation, control & automation areas to showcase their products to a range of people from managers and engineers to apprentices and students.

IICA Table Tops are run Australia- wide in capital cities and regional areas providing a one-stop shop and are an economical way to access prospective customers in a relaxed environment over a drink or refreshments. Table Top Entry for visitors is free. For exhibitors, various booking rates are applicable dependant on the type of IICA membership, the number of events booked and the appli cable early bird discount.

Non members are encouraged to join to take advantage of the discounts for IICA members. A saving can be made on booking for just one event.

Each year, a topic of interest is chosen for the IICA Symposia which are run Australia wide. Expert speakers keep IICA members and others up to date with the latest in technology and regula tions. Continuous education is essential in any career path and the IICA strongly believes this is part of its mandate. In conjunction with the ISA and others, IICA offers a variety of practical training courses. All instructors are ISA approved. The IICA/ISA professional development training courses and symposia may be recognised by Engineers Australia in accordance with their CPD Policy Guidelines.

National Manufacturing Week is being held in Melbourne 24 -27 May 2011 and the IICA will be under the banner of Process Control & Instrumentation (formerly known as ICEX). Larger companies are encouraged to invest in a separate booth to take advantage of the space on offer. The IICA Promotion Booth is a great way for smaller companies to access the large number of attendees at an affordable rate.

Do keep an eye on your inbox for the IICA 2011 Event Booking Form or on the Events page of the IICA website at www.iica.org.au. A sliding scale of discounts is available for companies that book and pay in full by 1 February 2011. Bookings can be made early with payment dates scheduled closer to the time of the event. No discounts apply in this case. Discounts do not apply to the IICA Promotion Booth as this is already a special rate for IICA Members.
