PSN Australia celebrates its second anniversary with the appointment of Matt Gavin as General Manager.
Gavin is a former head of Operations for Transfield Worley Services in New Zealand. The strategic appointment has been made to accelerate projected local growth opportunities in Australia.
The PSN business, which is headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland, was created in May 2006 through a management buyout of the engineering and construction division of KBR Halliburton. Over the last five years, PSN in Australia (and its legacy company) has grown from 50 employees to 850 employees.
In the last 12 months alone, PSN has added 280 employees who are engaged in some of the oil and gas industry’s most challenging projects including:
• Brownfields engineering and modifications to existing oil and gas infrastructure in Bass Strait
• Technical support for the two major oil and gas development projects on Sakhalin Island, Russia, and
• Technical planning and advanced procurement services for the recently approved Kipper Gas Project in Bass Strait
