Turck Australia announces the release of the first ultra-compact,
digital block I/O modules in the new TBEN-S (Small) series.
Measuring only 1.25” x 5.6”, the fully potted IP67 modules allow
assembly directly on the machine. The extended temperature range from -40°C to
+70°C makes the devices highly versatile. The compact design allows each TBEN-S
module to be operated without additional gateways in each of the three Ethernet
systems: PROFINET, Modbus TCP or EtherNet/IP.
TURCK’s multiprotocol technology also enables the devices to recognise
the used protocol automatically by listening to the communication during the
start-up phase. An integrated switch allows the use of the devices in line
topology.
Product Manager Noah Glenn explains that the new digital TBEN-S provides
their customers with a flexible solution that can be mounted directly to a machine,
and at a smaller size than anyone else on the market. Available in a wide range
of options, the digital TBEN-S meets the diverse application needs of customers.
TURCK’s TBEN-S IO modules are available in a choice of five variants
including four digital inputs and outputs; eight digital inputs with module
diagnostics; eight digital inputs with channel diagnostics; eight digital
outputs; and eight universal digital inputs and outputs.
Key features also include outputs switching a
current of up to 2 A; each output channel continuously monitored by the
integrated diagnostic system that records all events in the device’s event log,
simplifying troubleshooting and reducing downtimes significantly; internal web
server displaying diagnostics in plain text; and responsive design of website
allowing users to use their smartphone for easy diagnosis.
