The MathWorks will offer several training ‘firsts’ during June.
These courses include:
– Advanced training in Melbourne
– The first financial services-focused courses in Australia being held in Sydney and Melbourne during May and June
One of the key factors in The MathWorks establishing an Australian office two years ago was to be better able to offer training and support to its local user base. This decision has been well supported, with training numbers exceeding projected targets on a consistent basis.
So far this year, The MathWorks has conducted training for over 100 people in the first three months of 2008.
The MathWorks customers have been impressed by the training courses offered to date. Positive comments include:
“Thanks again for organising the training. Bradley (Horton) delivered the course very well, and everyone was satisfied with their achievement in the two days. Even the guys with some previous Simulink experience greatly improved their capability and knowledge.” — John Karayannis, Assistant Manager, Software Development Group, Toyota Technical Centre Australia.
“As an experienced programmer in other languages and packages, particularly Splus and R, I did this course as a quick way to get up to speed with MATLAB. The training materials were excellent and the trainer was able to give me quick and clear answers on more advanced questions that helped me leverage my prior knowledge.” — Professor Andrew Heathcote, University of Newcastle.
