Zoos Victoria has become the first zoo in mainland Australia to be powered by 100 per cent renewable energy, with funding contributed from the Victorian state government.
Gas and engineering company BOC, a subsidiary of Linde plc, has announced a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with energy from waste facility Avertas Energy and Shell Energy, to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 16 per cent.

Macedon Ranges Shire Council, among others, has signed on to the Victorian Energy Collaboration (VECO), the largest emissions reduction project by local government in Australia.
