SOLARWINDS, which provides IT management software for more than 97,000 companies worldwide, has established its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Brisbane.
The Brisbane office will offer sales, customer support, and services for Australasia and the greater Asia-Pacific region. The office will also have a development team focused on localisation of SolarWinds’ network, application and storage management products.
Kevin Thompson, president and CEO of SolarWinds, says the company sees tremendous opportunity for SolarWinds in the Australasian region, based on the level of growth seen in the last twelve months.
“Through the addition of the Brisbane office, we intend to continue the expansion of our presence in APAC in 2011, including opening markets where we have previously not offered our products,” Thompson said.
The presence in Brisbane will help Solarwinds more effectively enter new markets, such as Japan. The office will also serve as a hub for expanding partner and development opportunities in the region, including those with key channel and technology leaders.
