The G company will present its solutions for the mining industry at AIMEX 2007 this week in Sydney.
With its concept of Totally Integrated Automation, Siemens supplies a comprehensive, integrated
range of products and systems for efficient automation in all applications of the mining industry.
This covers excavation and beneficiation to bulk transport and auxiliary processes including minedewatering,
process water, laboratory and infrastructure from the field and control levels through to
the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) level.
Siemens is showcasing a grinding mill model to illustrate its solutions for gearless drives for
grinding mills in live demonstrations, along with a Flender mechanical gear unit. This unit is in a
new self aligning housing design (patented by Siemens) with up to 40% greater thermal capacity
compared with equivalent FSG (Flender Standard Gear) housing designs.
Featured key topics such as safety, electrical drives and wastewater for the mining industry will be
presented by national and international Siemens specialists at the Siemens booth throughout the
trade show.
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) are the key to bridge the gap between management and
production execution to support all management levels in fulfilling business targets.
MES solutions developed by Siemens will be shown during live interactive demonstrations at the
booth.
AIMEX will take place at the Sydney Showground at the Olympic Park, September 4-7.
