Following Victoria’s devastating bushfires on ‘Black Saturday’, SEW-Eurodrive employees have dug deep to raise money for the bushfire appeal, generating $20,000 to be donated to help support victims of the tragedy.
The company itself has also donated an undisclosed sum to the appeal.
“Many SEW employees know people who have been personally affected,” said SEW-Eurodrive managing director, Rob Merola.
“Their response has been tremendous and heart-warming. Everybody wants to help as much as they can. Having a disaster on our doorsteps really brings out the best in people.”
The company was also involved in the recent ‘World’s Greatest Shave’ fundraiser. Ten staff members — including managing director, Merola — volunteered for the event, having their heads shaved or their hair coloured in support of the Leukaemia Foundation.
