LMI Technologies (LMI) has appointed Terry Arden as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO), replacing outgoing CEO Len Metcalfe, who was one of the founders of LMI Technologies.
LMI is a global provider of 2D and 3D vision sensor solutions to industrial measurement and control processes in markets including metal, glass, rubber and tire, transportation, livestock, automotive and wood.
Outgoing CEO Metcalfe will continue to serve as chairman of the board for LMI Technologies and will remain the largest shareholder of the company. He will remain actively involved in the industry and success of LMI, an LMI press release said.
LMI Technologies works through dealers in selected areas of Asia and Australia including India, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Australia.
The company’s new CEO, Arden, joined the company seven years ago and has since served as chief technical officer (CTO) of the company. Previously, Arden built a machine vision software company that he sold to LMI before joining the company as CTO.
“I am excited about what Terry will bring in our next growth stage, ” said Metcalfe.
“Terry’s broad experience in sensors combined with his proven leadership skills are key to our success in this challenging economy.”
