Sensor and control solutions for automation at NMW 2008
ifm efector will display a number of new sensor and control products on Stand 5310 during National anufacturing Week at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 27 to 30.
The company’s product range includes German-engineered and manufactured position and object recognition sensors, fluid sensors and diagnostic systems, bus systems and identification systems, control systems and connection technology.
New releases at the exhibition will include:
• PIM Pressure Sensor with diagnostic function for pumps, to provide pump monitoring and pressure detection in one sensor. It is able to diagnose a disturbance in the suction area (for example, cavitation) and detect out gassing liquids and air trapped in the pump.
The sensor increases plant uptime and prevents expensive consequential damage caused by adverse operating points.
• A magnetic-inductive inline flow sensor which indicates flow rate, totalising and temperature.
This sensor has flexible programming for different conditions as well as a high protection rating and robust housing.
• Connection technology, with a mechanical end-stop, which ensures correct and constant compression of o-rings for permanent sealing.
Saw-tooth technology ensures nuts are securely positioned so the connector remains fixed, even in cases of extreme vibration.
