Seminars on MATLAB and data analysis and visualisation

MATHWORKS will be holding free seminars on how MATLAB can help Excel users analyse and visualise data more efficiently.

The complimentary half-day seminars will be held in Melbourne on 23 November, Hobart on 25 November, and Chatswood, NSW on 30 November 2010.

At the seminars, MathWorks experts will demonstrate how MATLAB can help overcome limitations and supplement analysis carried out in Excel.

A series of live demonstrations will provide delegates with insight on how MATLAB can be used to access data from various sources; quickly explore, analyse and visualise data; perform statistical analysis and curve fitting; customise and automate analysis and reporting; and develop and deploy applications.

By reducing the amount of time spent on the analysis of data, users are able to allocate more time to innovation.

According to MathWorks Australia, MATLAB enables users to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages, helping engineers deal with the increasing number of tasks, and higher complexity.

MATLAB can be used in a wide range of applications, including signal and image processing, communications, control design, test and measurement, financial modelling and analysis, and computational biology.
