Bob Keiller, CEO of Production Services Network (PSN) has been named the Ernst & Young Scotland Entrepreneur of the Year 2008.
Keiller — who led a management buy-out of the international energy services company in 2006 and has since overseen nearly 50 per cent growth in the business — fought off competition from 29 of the country’s finest entrepreneurs to pick up the top award at the Scottish final; held at the Glasgow Hilton and presented by Jackie Bird.
Keiller was presented with both the Energy Services Entrepreneur Of The Year title and the Overall Entrepreneur Of The Year accolade; in recognition of his role in transforming a failing business into an established global leader in the oil and gas industry.
Over the last five years, PSN in Australia (and its legacy company) has grown from 50 employees to 850 employees.
In the last 12 months alone, PSN has added 280 employees who are engaged in some of the oil and gas industry’s most challenging projects
including:
– Brownfields engineering and modifications to existing oil and gas infrastructure in Bass Strait
– Technical support for the two major oil and gas development projects on Sakhalin Island, Russia, and
– Technical planning and advanced procurement services for the recently approved Kipper Gas Project in Bass Strait.
