Cardno has named two of its most outstanding young engineers as joint recipients of the 2008 Cardno Richard Kell Scholarship: Natalie Foley and Christian Forsyth.
The annual scholarship was developed to provide young engineers with the opportunity to participate in the prestigious year-long FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) Young Professionals Management Training Program.
The judging panel was unable to split the merits of Ms Foley and Mr Forsyth this year with both receiving the full prize including attendance at the 2008 FIDIC Conference in Quebec, Canada.
Ms Foley, who manages the 40-person Water Supply and Sewerage Business Unit at Cardno’s head office in Brisbane, said she was excited by the chance to represent the company at the upcoming FIDIC training program and conference.
Mr Forsyth, who works in Cardno’s International division and is based in the Maldives, said winning the scholarship would allow him to discuss the industry with engineering experts from other nations.
A panel made up of directors, senior managers and engineers reviewed the reports, with Ms Foley and Mr Forsyth selected from a field stretching across the company’s many Business Units.
