Schneider Electric’s smart devices bring Ethernet connectivity to electrical distribution systems

Global energy management specialist Schneider Electric introduces a new
range of smart devices designed to bring connectivity for efficient energy,
network and asset management systems.

Based on Schneider Electric’s energy management principle of ‘measure,
connect, and save’, the new Enerlin’X range enables Australian companies to have
detailed visibility into their facilities’ operations, allowing them to comply
with environmental standards by monitoring their energy consumption and
operating costs.

Schneider Electric Product Manager Hastak Shah explains that the new
Enerlin’X smart devices offer local and remote monitoring capabilities in
addition to allowing real time information and structured data from electrical
systems to be used to make informed decisions for maximum efficiency.

Enerlin’X devices offer plug-and-play simplicity with easy installation,
configuration and maintenance. The smart devices extend Ethernet communication
across the entire electrical distribution system from air circuit breakers all
the way down to the smallest miniature circuit breakers.

Hastak Shah observes that Enerlin’X devices can be used as a part of
scalable architecture, enabling their use in any application from a small
commercial building to a complex data centre or even large residential or
commercial complexes such as hospitals.

Using the new Enerlin’X smart devices, Schneider Electric partners will
be able to specify, install and commission projects that will reduce total
material cost, allow faster delivery of results and increase profitability.
