Schneider Electric welcomes its class of 2013 graduates

Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced that 12 engineering graduates from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are preparing themselves to take part in Schneider Electric’s Energy Generation Graduate Programme Assessment Days.

Sam Lumley, a Schneider graduate, is looking forward to the career opportunities that Schneider Electric’s diverse business units offer.

“Choosing a career path can be a difficult task; however, after hearing about all aspects of Schneider Electric, I know I have made the correct decision,” Lumley said. “I feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to work for such an amazing company.”

The graduate program takes two years to complete and during that time graduates are rotated through different business units such as Industry, Infrastructure and Buildings to get a feel for the company.

The program helps to develop graduates competencies in technical, energy and end user solutions, sales, project execution and leadership. The graduates will, over the course of the program, acquire an in-depth overview of Schneider’s business, its customers and their needs.

Schneider also offers standout graduates the option of a short-term overseas placement upon completion of the program.

Senior Managers from across Schneider Electric have trained and appointed mentors for two years to ensure the graduates are set up for success. The manager include; Stephen Coop – Managing Director, Scott Wooldridge – Vice President Industry Business, and David Gardner – Vice President Clipsal and Partner Business.

“It's not only about how smart or tech savvy the graduates are, we are also searching to identify those with leadership potential and a passion to help us solving the worlds energy dilemma,” said Pip Russell, Schneider Electric Human Resources Vice President.
