Schneider Electric has entered into an exclusive partnership with Australian owned and operated specialist engineering and manufacturing company Mayfield Industries.
Under the partnership Adelaide-based Mayfield Industries are licensed to locally manufacture Schneider Electric’s Okken low voltage switchboards, for distribution to mining, water and oil and gas sites across Australia.
Okken switchboards have been developed by Schneider Electric to ensure better safety and protection systems to ensure safer operation and maintenance.
The locally-manufactured boards are tested and Mayfield Industries had to undergo a series of audits before being approved as a local partner. Mayfield’s manufacturing services include design, sheetmetal fabrication and electrical switchgear assembly.
“Due to the nature of the applications you will find with Okken we had to ensure we partnered with a company who would replicate the high standard our customers expect. Schneider Electric has a longstanding relationship with Mayfield Industries, we have partnered together on many projects over the years, and are proud to be working with such a quality Australian company,” said Geoff Timbs, Sales Director, Partner Business, Schneider Electric.
Mayfield Industries CEO Alan Steele commented “Our company was founded back in 1936 and we have been delivering switchboards into the Australian market ever since. We believe that we are well positioned to deliver this innovative product and create more value to our existing customer base.”
