Schneider Electric releases high performance CitectSCADA V7.20

Schneider Electric has launched CitectSCADA V7.20. “This latest release extends the performance, quality and security of our SCADA product. It also delivers on our vision of a seamless system that integrates real-time process and equipment information for improved operator effectiveness, simplified engineering and tighter security,” said Stephen Flannigan, SCADA Product Director, Schneider Electric.

Users of CitectSCADA 7.20 can meet growing security and remote monitoring requirements through the addition of a Pelco camera interface. This integration allows operators to view live video and control the camera movement.

Operators also have access to improved real-time operational intelligence through the extended tag information. They can obtain quality, time-stamped data as well as override the values from the field in case of a faulty device or communications.

“For the first time, users have the ability to reload server side changes made off-line onto the SCADA system without compromising data availability or stopping the system. This means no data loss and no downtime as a result of changes or modifications to the system and consequently, improved operator productivity,” explained Ivan Fernandez, Industry Director at Frost & Sullivan.

System integrators can reduce the time it takes to configure a system by taking advantage of the new tabbed-style interface that follows the ribbon interface style of Microsoft Office applications and new easier to use alarm displays. Further benefits are available through the introduction of an equipment database.

CitectSCADA V7.20 is now fully compatible with Windows 7, enabling you to take advantage of the increased data protection built into this operating system. This is in addition to all currently supported Microsoft operating systems.

“Schneider Electric is focused on continually developing and delivering world class, cost effective energy solutions for its customers. The CitectSCADA v7.20 system has been built to handle requirements from our smallest to largest customer and is scalable to be upgraded as our customer’s businesses change or grow,” Flannigan said.
