France’s Schneider Electric has bought-out a Brazilian UPS manufacturer called Microsol Tecnologia, which also specialises in voltage regulators and accessories for power protection.
According to a report from online resource, Modern Distribution Management (MDM), Microsol generated net sales of BRL 65 million (AUD$41.3 million) in 2008 and employed 500 people.
With this acquisition, Schneider Electric will not only strengthen its presence in Brazil, but will also expand its product and solution development capability, MDM said.
According to MDM, Microsol Tecnologia will be integrated into Schneider Electric’s IT Business.
