SAP MII solution implemented in Coca-Cola Amatil’s new $57million preform and closure facility

Plaut designed and built an SAP Manufacturing Intelligence Integration (MII) system to enable communications across the various equipment suppliers within Coca-Cola Amatil’s preform and closure manufacturing plant at Eastern Creek, which supplies products to the beverage company’s new PET bottle self- manufacturing facilities in Australia and New Zealand.

Plaut Chief Executive Officer, Mark Alder said: “Plaut’s solution has to work with 23 different interfaces, linking CCA’s equipment suppliers and systems to SAP. Plaut is highly regarded as the expert in Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence within Asia Pacific.”

Coca-Cola Amatil’s Manager of Major Projects, Michael Shirbin said: "The Plaut IT team are specialists in integration utilising MII and SAP and leverage this knowledge to provide solutions for all manner of applications. We were also pleasantly surprised at their depth of knowledge of the various equipment control systems.”

CCA announced its investment in the Eastern Creek facility in June 2011. The $57 million facility (pictured below) will produce 2.8 billion preforms and closures for CCA’s $450 million PET bottle self -manufacture project which is being rolled out across the CCA Group in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
