Backplane Systems Technology has released Neousys Technology’s new fanless embedded computer, the Nuvo-5000 series, featuring Intel 6th Generation Core i7/i5/i3 processors (codename Skylake). It supports LGA1151, socket-type CPUs to offer greater flexibility for CPU selection.
In addition to general I/O interfaces, such as up to six Gigabit Ethernet ports, eight USB ports and VGA/DVI/DP triple display outputs, the Nuvo-5000 integrates Neousys’ patented expansion Cassette for easy accommodation of an off-the-shelf PCI/PCIe card. It also incorporates the MezIO interface to deliver incomparable versatility for a range of applications.
Neousys’ proprietary MezIO interface provides computer signals, power rails and control signals via a high-speed connector and is extremely mechanically reliable. By installing either a standard or customised MezIO module, the Nuvo-5000 turns from a general embedded controller into an application platform with specific I/O functions. Benefited by Neousys’ proven fanless architecture, the Nuvo-5000 presents superior thermal reliability, even with LGA-type CPU. It supports wide-temperature operating from -25°C (cold boot) to +70°C (100% loading).
The Nuvo-5000 Series has been designed for:
• Machine vision platforms with multiple GigE/PoE ports
• In-vehicle fanless PC
• Surveillance/video analytics computer system
• Wide-temperature & rugged applications
• Ultra compact fanless controller
