Backplane Systems Technology has released the new MAXBES 10-port switch family from MPL, which includes two 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports. The family is equipped with eight 1 Gigabit ports and two 10 Gigabit ports. The eight 1 Gigabit ports are available as eight or four RJ45 copper ports and four 1 Gigabit SFP ports. The open frame version also offers lockable headers instead of RJ45. All ports have status LEDs, indicating the activity and speed of each port.
The switches are compact and can be used as an open frame solution or in a MIL housing with connectors of the user’s choice. The power supply input is 8-36VDC and uses less than 15W. The product can be operated at -20°C to +60°C and optionally up to +70°C.
The switches are suitable for any rugged or industrial network applications. Due to the low power consumption, robust and flexible design, the products are also well-suited for any embedded system.
