Control Logic introduces the new PXU series of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers from Red Lion Controls, the global leader in communication, monitoring and control solutions for industrial automation and networking.
The PXU series of PID controllers is the latest addition to Red Lion’s portfolio of industrial automation solutions. Designed for machine builders, systems integrators and commercial equipment manufacturers, the PXU series facilitates more reliable control over a wide range of processes, including temperature, flow and pressure from a single unit.
The new PID controllers are recommended for deployment in precision process applications within the food and beverage, plastics, packaging, energy, gas, heat treatment, commercial and medical industries.
Key features of PXU series PID controllers include 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 DIN size models available to provide a range of space-saving options; single model designed to fit all temperature and process PID applications with universal inputs supporting thermocouple, RTD, 0-10 VDC and 4-20 mA (0-50); simple setup and commissioning via on-demand auto-tuning; programmable via front panel push buttons and/or Red Lion’s free Crimson configuration software; enhanced bezel design providing larger, easy-to-read displays for better visibility from long distances; and optional RS-485 communications allowing integration with PCs, PLCs and HMIs.
