Ramp RFID joins forces with RAIN

Ramp RFID Solutions has joined the RAIN UHF alliance with the aim to
promote and advance the use of RFID technology within Australia.

An industry alliance founded by Impinj, Intel, Google and Smartrac, and
hosted by automatic identification trade association AIM, RAIN is focused on
promoting awareness, education, and initiatives to accelerate the growth and
adoption of UHF RFID in business and consumer applications. RAIN’s objective is
to emulate for UHF RFID, the success of the Wi-Fi community and the Bluetooth
alliance in transforming industries.

According to Ramp engineering director Alastair McArthur, Ramp RFID is
the first Australian RAIN Alliance member. He explains that RAIN UHF RFID is a
mature technology transforming and enhancing the operations of several companies
and industries worldwide.
