Queensland Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (QMan) will, for the first time, feature a section devoted to electronics and electrical.
The new section is designed to support Queensland’s growing electronics sector, which according to the Queensland Government, has achieved strong growth in employment, turnover and exports during the past decade. Demand has been strong for niche products in areas such as telephony, photonics, power supplies, and monitoring.
According to Paul Baker, Exhibition Manager at organiser Reed Exhibitions, Queensland manufacturers are set to benefit from having access to a full spectrum manufacturing exhibition.
“We’ve expanded QMan to include the key electronics and electrical sectors, which play a vital role in manufacturing today,” said Baker.
“By offering a full-spectrum manufacturing show, we’re able to provide a true one-stop shop for manufacturers.”
QMan 2008 has attracted support from a number of industry partners, including platinum sponsor Blackwoods, as well as the Association for Manufacturing Excellence; QMI Solutions; Instrumentation, Control & Automation Australia Inc (IICA); and the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group), which represents 10,000 employers in manufacturing, construction, automotive, telecommunications, IT & call centres, transport, labour hire and other industries.
The exhibition will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from October 21 to 23.
