Profibus seminars filling up, don’t miss out!

This year Profibus International (PI) will use its 20-year anniversary to showcase the organisation’s achievements in process automation, with a series of trade conferences, seminars and events kicking off this month.

Events will be held in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane throughout May and June.

The Profibus Association of Australia & New Zealand (PAANZ) will showcase the Profibus and Profinet technologies and their applications in mining, food & beverage, water/wastewater, chemical, manufacturing and factory automation during these events.

According to the Association, the PAANZ training program was developed following the success of the initial series of PI Certified Training Seminars.

The program will include a one-day Certified Installer Course (covering Layout, Installation and Maintenance) and the 3.5-day Certified Engineer Course (covering Network Design, Commissioning and Live Fault-finding).

Profibus Installer is designed for electrical engineers and technicians seeking to upgrade their skills in the installation and testing of complete Profibus DP and PA networks. The Engineer course is an intensive, theoretical program with a comprehensive test at the end. This course provides successful participants with a PI approved qualification.

The courses are scheduled for Perth (18 May), Melbourne (25 May) and Brisbane (1 June) and will be conducted by Manchester Metropolitan University Lecturer, Andy Verwer. Book now to ensure a spot.

Graduates of Verwer’s certified training programmes in 2006 and 2008 attribute their understanding and enjoyment of the courses to his balanced curriculums. Verwer has successfully blended theory with industry examples and supplemented that with practical exercises within a class buddy system, enabling a supportive, hands-on learning experience.
