Major announcements from Profibus Australia’s AGM conducted on Tuesday 28th May 2014 at Burkert Fluid Control Systems have been released.
2013 was a busy year, where critical financial goals were met and achievements in advertising and promotions exceeded all expectations.
The announcement of Profibus Australia’s decision to establish a presence on two Social Media mediums – Facebook and Linked-in – was well received by all in attendance.
Successful marketing campaigns for Certified Training courses, conducted in joint partnership with UK based Andy Verwer, delivered strong financial results.
The revenue generated in May and November enabled the PAA to initiate a wide range of promotional activities throughout the year including: eNewsletter production, Technical interviews on YouTube, PR campaigns, Technical Forums, Exhibitions and Trade Expos.
Strong support for expanding PAA’s Training program to meet a growing market interest was discussed and approved by popular vote.
Important announcements included the introduction of Certified Profinet training throughout Australia in November 2014; and the introduction of Certified Profibus training in New Zealand in October 2014.
PI international Chairman Karsten Schneider visited Australia in October as the inaugural guest speaker for a series of Profibus Business Luncheons in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The Profinet & Profibus EXPO, conducted at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in November, showcased nine leading industry fieldbus protocols in a new event created by the PAA titled, the ‘Fieldbus Forum’.
2014 Office-Bearers
PAA Office-bearers were elected and installed for the 2014 Executive Committee and Marketing Committee.
