 The Phoenix Contact UPS with IQ technology now includes a quick start guide containing poster-sized pictures and illustrations to facilitate hardware and software installation. This provides an overview of the most important functions and settings for the UPS-CONF configuration and management software.

After installation, the software displays the UPS system which consists of a power supply, an electronic switching unit and a power storage device. Input/output component voltages and the LED status are indicated on the front of the devices. The intelligent battery management also shows the current charging state, the remaining runtime, and the remaining life expectancy of the power storage device.

When a power failure occurs, the special PC mode ensures that the power storage device continues to supply power to PCs, and are shut down in a controlled manner before the battery voltage drops. The quick start guide provides information about the adjustable time parameters in the UPS-CONF software for optimising the PC mode for the system.

The QUINT UPS-IQ unit provides all relevant information about the power storage device, and the required transparency to ensure the reliability of the UPS at all times. QUINT UPS-IQ units with output currents of 5, 10, 20, and 40 A are available for 24 V applications. The QUINT UPS-IQ handles AC applications in the range from 85 to 264 V AC with an output power of 500 VA.
