Pro-Visual Publishing has produced the Process Industry Guide to Workplace Safety 2008 edition which has been sent out free of charge nationally during June.
This year’s guide focuses on traffic control in a busy manufacturing environment, the effective use of fire extinguishers, occupational asthma and workplace stress management. All information was compiled in consultation with the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group).
“These industry guides assist companies to meet their commitment to safe work practices and reinforces the message from leaders that safety is the industry’s highest priority,” said Joseph Ress, Senior Advisor, Workplace Safety and Workers Compensation, Australian Industry Group.
“This important initiative will be welcomed by our members and will be promoted by the Ai Group as an important resource that is practical, readily accessible and easily understood.”
This resource chart is designed to help businesses to comply with workplace health and safety legislation by having health and safety information available in a format that is accessible and easy to read.
By displaying the chart prominently, employees have a daily reminder and employers are reducing the cost of workplace accidents, illness and injury.
More than 4,300 copies have already been distributed. Additional copies are available and all Guides are produced and distributed without cost thanks to sponsorship.
