Toshiba’s Storage and Electronic Devices Solutions Company has announced the launch of a new line-up of high voltage intelligent power devices (IPDs) in small-size packages for use in various fan motors including air conditioners, air cleaners and pumps. The new line-up consists of two products, the 600V/2.5A “TPD4204F” and the 500V/2.5A “TPD4206F”.
Utilising the latest Toshiba MOSFET technology, the IPDs achieve high voltage and low power loss in a newly developed small-size surface mount “SOP30” package, measuring 20mm x 14.2mm. It has approximately only half the mounting space of the company’s current package, which can contribute to smaller and thinner sets.
