Page Steel retools processes with Peddinghaus machines

PAGE STEEL has taken an aggressive approach toward retooling its processes for greater future success.

Page Steel is owned by the Piacentini family. The owners wanted to reduce the cost of production so as to stay competitive. They recognised the need to add a true beamline system and other machine technology to the production line.

After a reviewing process, Page Steel contacted Headland Machinery and purchased the Peddinghaus Advantage PCD-1100 three-spindle drill line, and the DG-1100 mitre band saw. Shortly after the initial installation, Page Steel placed an order for an 823 Anglemaster.

According to Page Steel, this allowed it to tackle much larger projects. The company reports it is impressed with both the speed and accuracy of the saw and drill, as well as the build quality.

Page Steel’s largest individual project, fabricating 5000 tons for two distribution centres, was completed with the help of the Peddinghaus equipment.
