Ozwater’10 coming to Brisbane in March 2010

The Queensland Government and a group of South East Queensland water entities will host Australia’s largest water conference and exhibition, Ozwater’10, in March 2010 in Brisbane.

The Queensland Government, in conjunction with the South East Queensland water organisations SEQ Water Grid Manager, Seqwater, WaterSecure and LinkWater, will partner with the Australian Water Association (AWA) to present Ozwater’10.

Thousands of water sector professionals, researchers, consultants and environmental experts will gather in Brisbane from 8—10 March 2010 to profile the projects, technologies and practices that will feature in an increasingly challenging and demanding era of water management, according to the organisers.

Queensland has led many major developments in water management in recent years, and has responded actively to the issue of long term water security in the face of climate change, making it the perfect setting for Ozwater’10, the organisers said.

Delegates to Ozwater’10 will for the first time view the South East Queensland Water Grid, including the third-largest recycled water scheme designed for indirect potable reuse (IPR) in the world.

New approaches to water resource planning, provisions for environmental flows and the implementation of successful demand management campaigns will also feature throughout the conference.

Delegates from the Australian process control market, in particular instrumentation and fluid handling representatives, will be present at the event.
