The Profibus Association of Australia (PAA) will host an interactive ‘One Technology for all’ EXPO at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre on 3 March 2010, following “overwhelming attendance” at last year’s Sydney and Brisbane Forums, PAA has said. The Profibus Technical Forum is a free, one-day event and combines an information forum and a technology exhibition.
According to PAA president, John Immelman, the exhibition will be held in Western Australia this year due to a “flood of requests”.
“This state has become a world-class energy hub for mineral resources, LNG and gas processing industries. And continues to implement cutting-edge water processing strategies to safeguard their water supplies,” he said. “Profibus has a major role to play in all these sectors. The Technology Forum in Perth provides a convenient Profibus information resource under the one roof for project engineers, instrument technicians and electricians — in fact, anyone interested or involved in the Profibus technology.”
Showcasing their wares at the exhibition will be a mix of companies from the process and factory automation sectors. The event will comprise of tabletop presentations from key PAA members and other industry exhibitors, offering attendees both networking and learning opportunities.
Speakers at the event will include both Profibus end-users and technical experts, each sharing their views about Profibus and why is has achieved such industry acceptance over the last 20 years.
