Engineering consulting firm URS has appointed David Williamson as their new Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific Regional Business Unit, based in Sydney.
Mr Williamson has overall responsibility for the Asia Pacific operations, including strategy development, budgeting, profit and loss, project quality, safety, client relations, employee relations and business development.
“I am delighted to begin my tenure at URS and look forward to working with the talented staff in the Asia Pacific region and throughout the Company. One of my primary objectives is to diversify our capabilities and client base in the rapidly growing engineering infrastructure and construction services markets.” says David. “In addition, we will continue to expand our strong position in the Asia Pacific environmental market with our major multinational clients and through our work in the public sector.”
Most recently, David served as an Executive General Manager in both Downer EDI Mining and Downer EDI Rail. Previously, he held a number of senior positions over an 18-year period with Transfield which included time at ADI in Sydney and PT Trans Bakrie in Indonesia.
