Melbourne-based compressed-air technology group, Champion Compressors, is moving to a new national headquarters in the country’s “manufacturing heartland”, Dandenong.
Champion Compressors customers, staff, industry partners and media will have the chance to view the company’s new base in February 2009 — a location three-times larger than Champion’s current headquarters.
The south-east Melbourne office will allow the compressed-air company to grow, offering three-times the manufacturing capacity, three-times the amount of sales staff and technical support office space, and four-times the amount of space currently reserved for loading and parking.
The official opening will take place on the morning of Monday, 9th February 2009, at 324 to 332 Frankston Road, Dandenong, and will include presentations by guest dignitaries, along with a tour of the new site.
The event will also include an overview of Champion Compressors’ current and future directions in air compression technology and solutions.
Though the site relocation will be mostly completed by the end of October to the beginning of November 2008, the company wants to settle in before showcasing its stuff to the industry.
The new location “consolidates Champion’s manufacturing, sales and technical support centres into a single state-of-the-art business/manufacturing facility, and provides Australia’s industrial sector with premium access to the company’s compressed air solutions. It also supports the company’s ongoing production and market support expansion strategy,” said a spokesperson for the company.
“This expansion has been necessitated by Champion Compressors’ extraordinary growth over the past ten years — a growth catalysed by global industry’s continued demand for compressed air solutions that are engineered tough for performance in challenging conditions.”
