Siemens has appointed Dr Bertram Ehmann as the new head of the company’s ‘energy’ division for Siemens’ Australia and New Zealand business.
According to Siemens, Ehmann is regarded as an energy expert and will work closely with longstanding vice presidents Steve Robinson and David Pryke to innovate and to deliver sustainable solutions across the entire energy conversion chain.
Siemens Ltd chairman and managing director, Albert Goller, said that Ehmann’s extensive industry knowledge and experience would prove invaluable to Siemens Ltd.
“Bertram has a wealth of experience in the energy industry gained over a period of 16 years, and for the last 10 years, he has been leading global businesses with great success, including the global Siemens Transformers Group,” Goller said.
“He served as president of the European Power Industry Association, COTREL, and worked for ABB, Switzerland, and Cooper Industries, USA. Bertram holds a doctorate in industrial engineering and he is a highly recognised, international Siemens expert on energy.”
