The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) has formed a new Communications Sector Advisory Group (CSAG) and has appointed Bill Petreski as Communications Sector Consultant to lead the group.
Mr James Tinslay, chief executive officer of NECA said he was very pleased with the direction NECA was taking with the formation of the group and Mr Petreski’s appointment.
“The new CSAG, with Bill Petreski at the helm, will enable NECA to have a stronger voice on important issues in
the cabling and telecommunications sector which affect our members working in that area.”
He said that BICSI South Pacific, with whom NECA had recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding, would be invited to participate in the group.
Mr Petreski has 14 years of experience in managing emerging technologies within early stage, small to
medium enterprises (SMEs) and multinational companies, with diverse responsibilities in research and development, management, sales and marketing and business development, particularly in the design, manufacture and marketing of fibre-optic telecommunications systems.
His current role is as Managing Director (CEO) with ITECplace Global Ltd, a boutique corporate advisory firm focused on creating strategic partnerships for high-technology, early stage, SMEs and micro-capital, publicly listed companies.
Mr Petreski said, “An initial meeting of a ‘skeleton’ group will meet on 16 June in Adelaide to confirm
my role and responsibilities, determine issues that are currently on the table and develop a workplan.”
Further information on the CSAG’s work will be made available in the future.
