NECA Victoria Excellence Awards winners revealed

Victoria’s electrical and communications contractors have been awarded by the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) Victoria Excellence Awards announced in Melbourne on 10th July.

Contractors in the area have continued to deliver world-class installations using the latest environmentally sustainable technologies despite the tough economic conditions of the past year, said NECA.

With projects ranging from smart-wired designer homes to the Melbourne Convention Centre, and the new Alfred Hospital ICU to industrial technology developments, the award-winners have distinguished themselves through innovative design and clever use of technology that sets international benchmarks for electrical and communications installations, said NECA.

NECA Victoria chief executive officer, Philip Green, said, “As the industry’s peak body, NECA is proud to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of our member organisations. These peer awards not only recognise the exceptional quality of the projects completed during the last twelve months, but also the important contribution these organisations make to our industry in terms of business and project management, environment and sustainability, occupational health and safety, employment and training. The awards set these companies apart, giving them a competitive advantage in a very difficult economic climate and we congratulate the winners.”
