Global environmental engineering firm MWH is ramping-up its representation in Queensland with the appointment of three specialist engineers to work at the Sunshine Coast regional office.
The environmental engineering, construction and strategic consulting services company has appointed the three engineering professionals to give the firm an edge in the transportation and water consulting industries.
Civil engineer and manager Ian Bilkey has 40 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, and will join MWH as transportation design manager in the firm’s Sunshine Coast office.
In his new role, Bilkey will provide civil engineering, design and construction expertise on a range of transportation projects throughout Queensland.
Peter Comino joins MWH as integrated water and catchment management team leader in the firm’s Brisbane office. He has 20 years of experience in stormwater management and hydraulic modeling, much of which was gained in public sector roles for local authorities.
In his new role, Comino will be responsible for leading a team of eight professional engineers providing stormwater management and flooding analysis reports, water demand management analyses and water network analyses.
Civil engineer Ian Munro has 22 years of experience and joins MWH as transportation design manager. Prior to joining MWH, Munro worked in local government, where his most recent role involved program management for the delivery of $90 million in transportation projects.
In his new role, Munro will manage the Gold Coast transportation team with a view to expanding MWH’s presence in the South East Queensland region.
