Moxa will participate in Computex 2008, which will be held from June 3 to 7 in Taipei, Taiwan. They will be exhibiting their industrial networking solutions.
Their presentation will focus on the following four solution categories:
Time to Market Platform for Embedded Computing
Moxa’s entire range of embedded computers, plus a variety of industrial embedded applications, will be displayed. The combination of a robust hardware design, the easy-to-use “Rcore Value” software suite, and service and quality, make embedded computers ideal for establishing embedded systems quickly and with the least amount of effort. In addition, a “Time to Market Platform for Embedded Computing” will be highlighted. By presenting comprehensive industrial-grade embedded solutions from an IT field perspective, Moxa is providing industry professionals with an opportunity to learn the best way to solve some of the industry’s toughest computing problems.
Intelligent Remote Monitoring and Alarms
Moxa offers a “One Network” solution that integrates data, video, and voice into one network in an optimal way, with their “active” I/O solutions, which feature a no-programming-needed event-reaction logic.
Moxa will provide a live demonstration that shows how Active Ethernet I/O alarms can be triggered by more than one sensor input, and as a result cause a substantial reduction in the occurrence of false alarms.
Reliability and Redundancy in Networking
With a wide range of leading industrial device networking technologies, including redundant ring on an Ethernet backbone, redundant ring for serial-to-Ethernet communication, dual-LAN redundancy, and various back-up mechanisms for when the Ethernet fails.
Industrial Wireless Solutions
Solutions for industrial wireless networking, including WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), and WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network). Devices can be connected to a wireless network with Moxa’s industrial-grade wireless products (802.11a/b/g) or cellular IP modems (GSM/GPRS/EDGE). In particular, the OnCell G3100 IP modem and AWK-1100/1200 access points are both designed specifically for harsh industrial environments.
Moxa will display its newest products, such as the world’s first serial-over-fiber cards, 19” chassis serial converters, industrial USB hubs, and rackmount Ethernet switches. In addition, several live demonstration units will be available to illustrate industrial automation applications, including Gigabit Ethernet switches, network management software for monitoring Ethernet infrastructure, active Ethernet I/O solutions, and video networking products.
