Monadelphous has won a $160 million construction contract for Sino Iron’s iron ore project.
The contract consists of structural, mechanical, piping, installation, and commissioning works within Concentrator 3 to 6.
The work, slated to begin immediately, is primarily on the main magnetic separator and ball mill facilities, as well as the secondary magnetic separation facilities.
“We are very pleased to be awarded this contract with Sino Iron at Cape Preston,” Monadelphous managing director Rob Velletri said.
The company looks “forward to participating in the delivery of another phase of development at this significant West Australian iron ore project.”
The win comes on the same day Sino Iron awarded Kerman a $146 million contract for similar work on the AG mill, pebble crushers, and stockpile tunnel areas for processing lines 3 to 6 at the Sino Iron project
