Miniaturised MICROmote photoelectric sensors for small spaces

Balluff introduces miniaturised MICROmote photoelectric sensors featuring a separate electronic processor unit and designed specifically for small installation spaces.

Balluff’s new miniaturised MICROmote photoelectric sensors deliver a large amount of optical performance in a tiny amount of space thanks to the miniaturised LEDs, photodiodes and phototransistors.

Produced in a specially developed patented manufacturing process to provide the micro-optical components with high optical precision, the MICROmote sensors are ideal for small installation spaces as well as in applications where low weight is necessary such as moving machine parts and robot grippers.

The robust sensors integrated into the metal housing are operated with a separate amplifier, which can be positioned outside of the action area. Highly flexible electrical cables provide secure transmission of sensor signals between the sensor head and the amplifier, offering a technical alternative to fibre optics. The amplifier features ergonomic indicators and operating elements.

Key features of Balluff’s MICROmote photoelectric sensors include sensor heads measuring just a few millimetres delivering impressive technical values; sophisticated modular system; and wide application range from position detection of small parts, identification and counting of objects to detecting filling levels of foaming liquids.

Balluff also offers diffuse sensors, through-beam sensors, high-vacuum sensors, fork sensors and precision hose sensors used in the detection of liquids and bubbles.
