Perth metallurgical consultancy, Mineral Engineering Technical Services (METS), has appointed a new process manager and a new engineering manager to lead the firm into 2010.
Dr Chris Ure has started at METS as engineering manager and will head-up the company’s Engineering Division.
Dr Ure comes to METS with over 20 years experience in process analysis, control and optimisation, with particular expertise in ironmaking, process design, implementation of process changes, process audits, engineering design and specification, and project management, says METS.
Marcus Locke has been promoted from within the company to process manager and will take responsibility for driving the Process Division.
Locke is a metallurgist with 13 years experience in the mining industry, specialising in project feasibility and development. He is a specialist in the extraction of mineral sands, iron ore (magnetite and hematite), gold and base metals with well-developed analytical and technical skills, says METS.
