The growth in 3D printing for medical purposes will be
considerable, according to a report by analysts at SmarTech Markets Publishing.
The market research and industry analysis firm predicts the
number of machines shipped per year in the industry will double from this year’s
number and reach about 2,200 units in 2020.
The foecast for the increase in materials sold is even more bullish. The market will be worth $US 345 million in 2020, up from 2014’s
$US 50 million figure.
