Wieland has recently extended its Samos and Samos Pro system with the release of the new Samos PRO COMPACT series.
With a width of only 45mm, the controller is suitable for universal use and can be used in harsh environments cost-effectively.
The compact system offers up to 20 safe inputs and 8 safe outputs, with the option of extending up to 168 safe inputs and outputs, making it ideal for medium to large applications. It has an exchangeable memory of 512MB.
The controller features integrated USB, Ethernet and Industrial Ethernet communication, so that solutions can be implemented for remote maintenance.
Additionally the Profinet-IO protocol is also directly integrated into the Samos PRO COMPACT system. As no additional module is required for Modbus/TCP communication or Profinet-IO, the user can save on costs and space in the switch cabinet.
The safety controller is also available with the free user-friendly software Samos PLAN 5+ with integrated simulation and logic analysis, making the programming more simple, flexible and safe.
