The agenda for the Inside 3D Printing event in
Melbourne in May has been released.
3DPrint.com reports that the two-day event will feature
presenters including RMIT University’s Professor Milan Brandt, Monash Centre for
Additive Manufacturing’s chief Professor Xinhua Wu, and Queensland University
of Technology’s Professor Dietmar W. Hutmacher.
The opening keynote will again be given by Terry
Wohlers, founder of consultancy Wohlers Associates, which publishes the
influential annual Wohlers Report.
The organiser of the international Inside 3D Printing
series, MecklerMedia, has also announced a partnership with AMTIL for a
dedicated Digital & Additive Pavilion for the duration of the Austech
exhibition, co-hosted with National Manufacturing Week at the Melbourne
Convention and Exhibition Centre. The pavilion will be open for the duration of Austech, May 26 – 29.
I3DP made its Australian debut (also held at the MCEC) on
July 9 and 10 last year.
MediaBistro CEO Alan Meckler told Manufacturers’ Monthly afterwards that the event attracted between 1,200 and 1,300,
and the level of attendance at the expo was “about the same
size as Brazil but smaller than Korea.”
