Lend Lease has integrated its specialist power distribution design, manufacturing and installation operation, formerly Conneq i.Power Solutions, with the Group’s infrastructure services business.
The operation custom designs, manufactures and installs a range of energy, control and power distribution systems for mining, utility and industrial clients across Australia.
The i.Power Solutions name, familiar in mining and utility markets for more than a decade, will continue to be used as the product brand of power distribution hardware manufactured by Lend Lease.
Managing Director of Lend Lease’s infrastructure services business, David Marchant, said the move to fully integrate the operation would allow the seamless delivery of services to infrastructure clients.
“Power distribution and automation activities will now be integrated with Lend Lease’s engineering, construction and asset management services under a single brand,” Marchant said.
“Our company is a major provider of electrical and mechanical services to the nation’s largest coal, iron ore and gold miners and their port and rail infrastructure.
“We are also a major provider of power network construction and maintenance services, currently supporting utilities in every Australian state.
“Power products and systems offered by Lend Lease will now include high voltage substations and switchyards, underground mining substations, low voltage and medium voltage switchboards, transportable switchrooms, distribution kiosks and control systems.”
i.Power Solutions was acquired by Lend Lease’s infrastructure services business in 2008. The company was formerly known as Tanis IPS in Western Australia.
